Abstract

   Saudi Arabia has in the recent field of information technology and a keen interest in those who urged this area to exert more effort, has responded to King Abdul Aziz University for this approach and considered building research groups contribute to the progress in the considered field of information technology. The engineering disciplines are the most important ways to achieve development and one of engineering software that specializes in software development in terms of the development of methodologies and building tools that help in software development with high efficiency can be trusted and relied upon, and then was initiated in the formation of a research group for Software Engineering, Faculty of Computing and Technology information. This research group will conduct research in the methods and tools of software engineering in several related areas such as: flexible and responsive systems engineering; software engineering methods and tools for complex and adaptive systems; and software engineering for agent oriented systems. This group will carry out an agile effective software engineering processes through investigating modeling analysis methods suitable for rapidly assessing evolving system requirements and designs. Exploring soft computing systems to solve specific problems is repeatable only if there is a sufficient culture of disciplined practice and experienced people in an organization to transfer lessons from one project to the next.
